Project Description

Escuela Bilingue International (EBI): Alameda County

$8,000,000 to finance and refinance the cost of acquiring the School’s campus in Emeryville. In addition to the acquisition of their Emeryville campus, the project also includes improvements to its Oakland campus’ parking surface, student play areas, and fencing as well as renovations to the facility’s exterior.  The savings generated from EBI’s tax-exempt financing through CEDA results in increased cash-flow available to support its valuable programs and services.

Escuela Bilingue Internacional (EBI), an independent, co-educational day school and first opened its door in September 2006. EBI serves nearly 400 students grades pre-kindergarten through 8th grade and operates two campuses in Oakland and Emeryville, California. The School offers a Spanish/English bilingual program which provides students with an intensive language immersion curriculum. The School largely serves families in Oakland and the surrounding communities and sponsors events such as community service projects and a Spanish language immersion summer camp for both EBI and non-EBI students.
