The California Environmental Protection Agency administers the California Government: On-Line to Desktops, also known as CalGOLD, an Internet portal developed to assist businesses access information on the state's environmental permitting requirements.
CalGOLD provides assistance for businesses in determining relevant permitting and licensing requirements, and provides contact information for the appropriate permitting or licensing agency. In addition, the web portal provides direct links to important business related agencies including the Secretary of State, the Franchise Tax Board, the Board of Equalization, the Employment Development Department, and the U.S. Treasury.
